10 Steps to become PMP
I usually asked by my colleagues friends on " How to became a PMP?". i thought of making the steps availble in my blog.
So finally you deceided to became PMP. Well thats great. Now you need to have a lot of question in your mind on How to start , where to start and What is the technoques to pass.Probably this article will help you to to find Where What and How.
STEPS
1. Login to pmi.org. Register yourself.
2. Make sure you are eligible for PMP credential - You must eligible for all 4 criteria
You must have 4 year Bachelors Degree.
You must have at least 3 year of project management exeperience post 4 year Bachelors Degree.
This 3 year of project management exeperience must have 4500+ Hour of exeperience in leading a project.
You must attain 35 Hour contact programme on Project Mangement exeperience.This means you have to
attend a class of approx 4 days from vendor who are registered education provider from PMI USA.
3. Fill up the specific Application form for PMP online. PMI will seek information on detail on your eligibility
as mentioned in step 2 for verification .Make sure you provide all genuine information.You need to submit
the application within 90 days from the day when you started filling up application form.
4. Complete full payment for PMP exam online.
5. PMI will review your Application.PMI either approve your application directly or can ask for further Audit to
find genuinity of your application.
6. If you are selected for AUDIT then you need to submit proof for all your exeperience which you mentioned
while registering.PMI will send online form for this and hence you need to fill up the form and send them
back to complete audit within 90 days.
7. PMI will audit in 5-7 days.
8. If you clear audit process then you need to appear and pass the PMP exam in 1 year called as Eligibilty
Period.
9. Choose your prometric centre for exam , ans schedule a date.
10.Prepare your best . Then Go ahead with Exam ! All the best.
Congratulation You became PMP.
